Ever hear about Penn Masala. Nope ... that is not the name of an Indian spice factory ... that is the Hindi a cappella music band founded at University of Pennsylvania (that explains the cool name). They made the 'a cappella' (without musical instrument) form of music possible for Hindi tunes, how unique !! You would not believe your ears (or the nervous system) when you would hear their version of "Aap Jaisa Koi...". Check out their website to know more about Penn Masala.
You have to check out this interesting gujju hiphop rap video. The song "Blood Brothers" is done by the band Karmacy in their debut album "The Movement". The gujju in me got totally blew off when I saw this video (gotta praise the concept and the talent too).

Poor Man's doctor
Never-ending nose-blowing/sneezing, droopy-dopey eyes had become a norm this week. Gawd, I was tired. My inate stubornness prevented me to visit the doc or take any drugs. Its just me, who does not believe in western medicine, haah.
Words "symptoms sneezing itchy eyes congestion" I type into Google, and Voila !! The first link that comes up is an article in CNN about Hay Fever. All the symptoms matched, and I would like to take a moment to say that I had successfully diagnosed myself with Hay Fever ... laa laa laa (my happy dance).
Unfortunately, I will be forced to clean my entire house to get rid of allergens/dust/cat-hair. Part of the challenge would be to convince my house-mates to join in this noble act. Its a lot of cleaning, and I am hoping that a really powerful vacuum cleaner would have been invented by now, and commercially available.
The point is ... (how easily you get distracted)...Google helps you to get lot of information on your prevailing condition, and get goody-goody tips on necessary corrective action, how convenient !! That probably saved me a trip or two to the doctor, but I may be terribly wrong. On the flip side, I really needed a medical practitioner's insight, and becoming your own doctor is not only dangerous for the doctor's ability to pay his student loan bills, but it is DANGEROUS (period). It can also cause paranoia, and I can bet that you can easily end up diagnosing yourself with a rare disease only found in certain parts of the jungles of Amazon.
